This course will equip the emergency department to compare treatment options for patients with acute opioid withdrawal, describe appropriate use of emergency department treatments, demonstrate proper use of screening tools to assess for OUD, discuss the process for prescribers to obtain their DEA-X waiver, and discuss the current state regulations regarding buprenorphine initiation by nurse practitioners and physician assistants in Tennessee.
This course, powered by QuizTime, consists of 13 questions delivered once per weekday so it will take approximately 3 weeks to complete. Each question allows for 1 reattempt if your first attempt is not correct, and each question expires 48 hours after it is sent. Before the conclusion of the course, you will receive an email containing any questions you have not attempted, and you will have 48 hours from the time the email is sent as a last chance for answering those questions.
