Elevating with Support: A Toolkit for Clinicians at VUMC

Each question may be answered for 48 hours after the question is delivered

Overview

The “Elevating with Support: A Toolkit for Clinicians at VUMC” Quiz Time Module will equip our VUMC clinicians with the knowledge and skills they need to more readily recognize well-being needs in themselves and in their colleagues.  In addition, this module will empower our clinicians to utilize the Faculty and Physician Wellness Program of Work/Life Connections-EAP (FPWP) resources (ex: counseling, peer support, etc.) to support their well-being needs. While not all faculty and physicians at VUMC may currently be experiencing well-being needs that could benefit from services at the FPWP, it is likely that all faculty and physicians know at least one colleague who might be in need.

The FPWP at VUMC offers robust services to all VUMC faculty and physicians that include counseling, coaching, assessment, and treatment plans among many others.   However, it can be challenging for VUMC faculty and physicians to recognize wellness need in themselves and colleagues and, even when recognized, physicians may be uncertain how to access resources available at FPWP. The “Elevating with Support: A Toolkit for Clinicians at VUMC” Quiz Time Module is the second in a series of modules providing clinicians with valuable information on how to recognize mental health and well-being needs not just in themselves, but also in their colleagues. By ensuring that faculty and physicians know how to find, explain and utilize the resources available through the FPWP program, faculty and physicians at VUMC will be empowered to provide peer-support to their colleagues in need.
