Overview

Spotting Measles will provide up to 2.25 hours of AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM for physicians and attendance credit for non-physician participants. 

Measles cases and local outbreaks are now a growing concern for health care providers and practitioners within the United States and abroad. The Measles course is a 12 question learning opportunity that will provide an overview of what to look for and what to do regarding measles in your practice. Where applicable, 2.25 credits of CE will be provided.

This course, powered by QuizTime, consists of 12 questions delivered once per weekday so it will take approximately 3 weeks to complete. Each question allows for 1 reattempt if your first attempt is not correct, and each question expires 48 hours after it is sent. Before the conclusion of the course, you will receive an email containing any questions you have not attempted, and you will have 48 hours from the time the email is sent as a last chance for answering those questions. Upon completion of this course, you will receive a numeric credit code and instructions for texting that to our credit system to claim your credits.

Learning Objectives

  1. The classical clinical presentation of measles
  2. Groups of patients considered at high risk for contracting measles and/or developing serious complications
  3. Recommended vaccination protocols
  4. Diagnose patients with measles (clinical and lab)
  5. Take appropriate measures for suspected cases (report, isolate)
  6. Ensure that patients have received recommended vaccinations
